Hundreds of millions being injected into Ballarat

Hundreds of millions being injected into Ballarat

There is fantastic news for Florian’s future residents as the city of Ballarat is due for a major infrastructure upgrade this year. Construction work has already commenced on several state government projects, backed by hundreds of millions of dollars.

The first stages of the Ballarat Station Precinct, which includes a 405-space car park and $5 million bus interchange, are expected to be completed by the end of 2018. These investments into the city’s transportation network reflect its growing commuter body.

Mair Street, one of the city’s major thoroughfares, will also introduce dual lanes and improved intersections at a price tag of $7 million. Cyclists, meanwhile, will be delighted by the $9 million construction of dedicated bicycle lanes down the centre of Sturt Street as well as Drummond and Howitt streets.

Among the projects receiving an upgrade which are close to Florian is the Sebastopol library which will undergo a $3 million renovation and will re-open by mid-2018.

This is a huge commitment to the growth and development of Ballarat. Now is an excellent time to purchase at Florian and position yourself to take advantage of all that the city’s redeveloped infrastructure will have to offer.
